Julia Isídrez is a Paraguayan artist born on February 16, 1967, into a family of artisans who have perpetuated pre-Columbian ceramic techniques from generation to generation.

Accompanying her mother, Juana Marta Rodas (1925-2013), from a young age, she witnessed her mother’s artistic awakening while absorbing the traditional craftsmanship that would become the tool for expressing her own talent.

From adolescence, she distinguished herself with her own works while working closely with her mother. Together, they exhibited in Paraguay and abroad, receiving numerous awards.
She lives in the family home transformed into the Casa Museo Juan Marta Rodas-Julia Isídrez in the city of Itá, Caaguazú, where she dedicates herself to creating her artworks and teaching the inherited knowledge through workshops.

Responding to the creative gift she possesses, she gives shape and life to clay. Over time, the zoophormes or animals of the “World of Julia” have become known for their original shapes, the quality of finishes, and the purity of processes.
